Ok, when I floor the gas pedal it's like the engine has 3 stages of acceleration to it. It picks up, then loses torque for half a second, then picks up again. I dunno wassup anymore. And it seems like the engine misfires only when I'm in first and second gear. When it does misfire I can hear a loud knock through my steering wheel and gas pedal. The engine sometimes dies for like half a second too when i'm accelerating normaly. I'm stumped.

do you have a fuel pressure gauge check for pressure fluctuaitons when on throttle

That is the same issue i had when my fuel pump went out.

i had the same problem as well about 1 month ago.... the fuel pump was starting to shit the bed.... i replaced the pump with a walbro and now everything is A OK!
