yeah, running costs is mainly what i got. I lurked some 'vette forums. Main concensus was that even though its an afforable 'super car' ( using that very loosely ) the running costs will end up stinging a bit. Most of them told me their trannies had problems (manual, the auto's were good)and Some other stuff I cant remember.

Vette's are pretty good DD's.
![]() Good gas mileage. Fairly reliable. And fully insured most of the time..just in case. Oil changes and tires can get pretty expensive after a while.

I used the tuner to scale down the bigger injectors that i got, and i downloaded a timing table from a guy with a very similar cam. Raised timing in the idle region so when the engine decels below 1500rpm it doesn't fall on it's face. Also changed the Primary VE table in the idle region to help the car idle better. Driveability is great so far. Raised the redline by 300rpm. Thinking of getting a baseline run done @ Racetune to check the A/F ratio. Otherwise it's 450 bucks for a dyno tune a@ Synergy Motorsports(right next door to Frank) and he's one of the best Vette tuners in Norcal.

What would that put your redline at currently then and an estimated power you are at?

Stock redline is 6400 with stock power peak @ 5900(i think)
Now the redline is 6700 . Power peak should be around 6300. I'll post the dyno sheet when i get 'er done.

i made 409.8whp and 407 torque. Power peak is 6150 but doesn't fall off after redline till after 6500. Rev limit set to 6800. Driveability is way better as well as gas mileage.
The dyno was done on a Dynapak. It says flywheel horsepower at the top because of the software. This dyno is usually + or - 10hp from a dynojet roller dyno depending on how the car is setup.

ooOooo, so it is not one of the 401hp z06's?
Even if it was a 401hp z06, they would produce 340whp with a 15% drive train loss, his would be producing 69 more whp OR 79 extra flywheel hp. But his results are even more extensive noting he started off with less hp...

that sounds like my gti vr6 when i took out my cat and it was open rigth after the headers i only did that for 2 days. cuz i was scared if i was to pull next to a cop i was getting pulled over for sure
