BPT valve HELP

I replaced fuel pressure regulator on my ka24de today and I noticed the BPT valve's buttom hose is blown (the one goes to EGR). I replaced it with a vacum line and test drive it. My car throw CEL code 32 which is EGR problem. I inspect the hose i replaced and i notice there are some kind of liquid (it was clear, so i assuming it is water?) at the edge of the vacum line by the BPT valve. what happened? what does that mean?

btw my car has excess of carbon deposit particle and water from my exhaust (build up all over my 240sx tail). How does that happen? I am not losing any coolant btw. the car drives fine and idles fine but I also feel the car runs a bit weaker compare two 240sx i had before.

Also can anyone tell me what is the cat-converter diameter i should get for my ka24de.

thanks for help, i really need to smog the car by this week.
