kat thoughts with secondary butterflies, remove?

91' t25 ka-t
i'm going to pull my motor yet once again, while i'm at it i was thinking about the secondary butterflies, i've read that they help the a/f mixture or something blha blah..'good for low end' but for turbo it'll help the flow blah blah

I like low end.

your guy's thoughts on removing them with on my budget set up, if anything i'll just get some kind of t28 later down the road if that's going to help

oh yeah and i might have this set up for awhile

Get rid of them, especially if you have an SAFC its nothing to worry about. While your at it ditch the entire emissions system. www.ka-t.org for all your ka-t questions.

Don't use a butterfly valve for low torque, I dno't think they make much diff, especially since its a stock turbo u should be ok. Now if its enviornmental or smog related...thats a diff story.

They are a swirl control valve, they keep the air turbulent at lower speeds which increasing the efficincy of the engine. I have removed mine, just used a oil gallery plug and some anaerobic sealer on the screw.
