S13/S14 subframes

I am wondering if the S13 and S14 subframes are interchangable.
I know the diff is 4 vs 2 bolt mounting, thats not really a problem.
I am wondering more so about the rear multilink pieces.
If I want to swap in the S14 subframe into S13, will the multilink be for S13 or s14??
Russ?? Any help?

The multilinks will be for the s14 subframe, due to clearance, you can interchange the subframes, The multilinks are also interchangeable, with slight difference in suspension clearance. rubbing & whatnot, If you have any other questions about this topic, I suggest you direct them toward the suspension (i.e; coilover, strut/spring) setup of your project. You will have to convert basically all subchassis dynamics to the s14 parts lineup. IMO.

Subframes are not interchangeable. The S14 is 1/2" wider at the mounting points. You can make offset bushings or just cut the old ones out and jam it in place, but that's ghey. Aarm mounting points are wider on the S14 so you'll need to use a stack of washers on either end if you put S13 Aarms on a 14 subframe, 14 Aarms won't fit a 13 subframe. The rest of the multilinks will swap over, but you're not gaining anything by doing so. The only thing I'd see to do is use S14 camber arms on an S13 so the shock is easier to remove.

You cannot swap subframes like R240NA said, you can use all the S14 or J30 rear multi-links with lil modification to the LCA.

To use S14/J30 LCA you need to do 1 of 2 things:

1) Press out the 2 S14/J30 bushings on the LCA and replace with S13 parts, or
2) Grind the steel barrel sleeve down about an 1/8" on each side and test fit until it fits.

IIRC this also has to be done to the toe arm also.

Im using J30 rear multi-links on my S13, one reason I used it is becasue I used the J30 to convert to 5 lug and when you do that you must use the J30 LCA to mate with the J30 upright becasue the ball joint is larger than the S13, and you cannot simply swap a J30 lower ball joint into a S13 LCA, its physically larger all around and tje J30 LCA has extra sheet metal welding in on the underbelly side of the LCA for more strenght and the tracking arm also has extra sheet metal welded in on the underbelly for more strenght also compared to teh stock S13 pieces.
