s13 ebrake light gone wild...

its been turning on and off for a while now. before when i make hard right turn it would lit up. so inorder to turn it off i had to jerk the car left. now it jus turns on everytime i make a right turn while going fast or slow. wheres the sensor? or is the ebrake loose and grabbing the wheels? and today just when i got on the freeway, it lite up and while driving around 75mph, it smelled similar to fresh grass burning? (dont know if that was just concidence

Did you mean brake fluid?
If your brake fluid is low because the pads are worn down, it could trip the brake light.

Everyone will say: fluid, or pads, or tension in the cable, or e-brake sensor is shorting, and if all else fails.. your MC is going to hell.

Take out your center console. There is a little contact tab in front of the e-brake gear. Bend it away from the piece of metal on the e-brake that is contacting it and that will solve the problem. If your having the problem I think your having anyway. When those two tabs make contact with each other it sends the electric current to the light bulb. It should only make contact when the brake is almost all the way pulled up.

I would say check the liitle switch under your handle. Chances are you spilled a softdrink or some other type of sticky substance down there and its messin with your switch. I would also have to agree with the other possibilities listed above.

Yeah, check that that sensor that attaches to you ebrake handle is connected and in good condition. You can kinda see it when you take out the ashtray.. Well, for s13s at least. Dont know what car you're driving.
