jdm cluster question

i have a 91 coupe with hud and iwant to install a jdm cluster what do i have to do i already have the cluster

these guys are dicks. It will plug up to the original plug. No mods necessary. Just drop the knee blocker, then the steering collumn. next remove the bezel then gauge assembly, install is reverse.

Yes, it's very important to drop the steering column. You'll need a 12mm deep well socket to get at it. Don't try to remove the cluster w/o dropping the column because you will damage it.

Just remember that it will show kilometres for odo/speedo instead of miles.

thanks alot dudes but the guy i got it from had a 90 240 with an sr20 and he said somthimg about using my tach i dont know much about electrical stuff

SOHC tach will only work with SOHC. DOHC tach will work on any DOHC, KA24DE or SR20DET. He wants your tach probably because he's swapping in a DOHC motor.

no he dont want my tach he said i could use it in the jdm cluster because the one he gave me came out of his and he used to have a sohc

The JDM cluster came from an SR clip, correct? If so, the tach work on your DOHC car.

If the tach came from his SOHC car, then no it will not work with your DOHC.

I think we are trying to find specificity in which guage cluster he infact does retain.
