What the hell are you feeding that thing? I don't think that rust on the subframe helped things, like quite possibly caused all that damage. The cracks look rusted or is it just the camera/lighting?

The rust look is from the mag light , I'm running a 2jzgte on a gt30r ball bearing turbo about 430-450 who right now , I was racing my shadow and got on it in first gear and instead of just spooling threw first and spinning I slammed second really early and it started to spin like crazy and started wheel hopping, then I heard a noise and my steering wheel turned to the left and I thought I snapped a tie rod. I was able to drive it up to a parking lot and realized my diff was blown and my rear passenger tire was casterd in all weird. So I knew I was gonna have to change the diff so I went under there to Ohhtayyyy to take pics of my ebrake sett up so I could get that finished at the same time and I realized how much more of a murder scene it really was....

I see stock subframe bushings. There is your main problem. Invest in some suspension parts and you'll be fine.
Wheel hop kills everything.

If you get a new subframe reinforce it or get the s14 subframe they are stronger then s13. I also would upgrade to a q45 setup. Are you also sure the j30 diff is bad it may not be.

Q45 rear subframe ?? More details please. Well I'm sure something flew out the back of the diff it is probably repairable I think it was just the ring and pinion or something that busted the hole in the case.

@blueshark123 I see what your saying maybe I ripped my subframe and it just broke the rear diff case? Could be true becuse I was able to drive it a few hundred get and drive it up and down the toe truck. So I should purchase an s14 subframe and a q45 what now?

R200 rear end should be able to handle to about 600 hp. You're nowhere close to start blowing these diffs yet. Even then, its not the diff that will be the issue, its usually the axles input shaft into the splines that like to twist like pretzels.
If you already got an S14 subframe, reinforce it. Also, dont forget to get an S14 diff cover since the S13 one wont work. |

The simple fact of the matter is, wheel hop caused his diff and subframe to break. Which failed first is inconsequential. If he gets a new subframe, diff, some solid subframe bushings and adjustable arms and he'll be set. There are guys running much more power on an R200 diff and on slicks at that.

you have a "J30" diff with 6/2 axles?
either way like they said stock bushings and wheel hop is what caused this to happen it wasnt you uber 2jz power

upgrade to a s14 subframe with some better bushings, ex... solid or poly bushings. Plus it looks like you may have broken an axle. My buddy runs a 550 hp to the wheel ka-t and drags with slicks and hasnt had anything like this happen. then I have another friend with a 408 ls series motor making like 600 before the laughing gas, again with slicks and stock lsd has never broken anything like yours.

Some people upgrade to a Q45 rear differential since it's technically an R200 diff but has the stronger 30 spline axles as a Twin Turbo Z32. The rear end gear is also much taller than most S-Chassis diffs so it might help if you're making a ton of power. IIRC to complete the swap you need a combination of Q45 and Z32TT axles, Z32 TT hubs, a Q45 diff and the correct cover for your subframe.

Get a new rust free subframe like everybody said and replace the bushings with some solid aluminium ones.
Upgrading to an S14 subframe would be better you can easily find one in the Junkyard. If not, you can also use a J30 Subframe which is nearly identical to and S14 one. A plus about the J30 Subframe is that the RUCAs are much beefier and look very similar to the Nismo S14 ones. |
