i heard that the n/a version of the sr20 has a 10mm bigger throttle body...is this true? and would it bolt right up and use the same plugs?

my firend has a blacktop sr20det and i have a red top, his throttle body looks bigger is his stock or do they come bigger on blacktops?

I believe S13 SR TBs are 60mm and S14 SR20DET TBs are 50mm. It is true however that S14 SR20DE TBs are also 60mm and bolt directly onto the DET. To get the S13 TB to fit, it requires some modification.

**Edit** Read September issue of Modifed...there is an article about this and even tells you how to get a N/A 60mm TB.

Bingo, the S14 SR20DET is the one that come with the 50mm. If you've got an S13 SR, don't even bother.

ok so this mod is useless if you have a black/redtop S13sr.

if you have a s14/15 sr you can do it.
