Question about S14 Sr20det hose by Throttle Body - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Before I took the motor I just cut this hose. I know the air goes to the AICV area; one of the sensors in the middle of the intake manifold. I just don't have a picture of where it went to. I am guessing it went to the IC piping.

Is it necessary to connect it?

If so, where does it connect to?

Any other input about this?

it connects to the intake intercooler piping that goes to the throttle body...i've kept it and everything runs fine...haven't ran without it though.

its the air inlet for the aicv bypass. it goes to a vac line before the TB

I asked because I wanted to run the IC piping between the frame and the Power brace arms (stock ones) because it does in fact fit, instead of running it through the battery tray.

you can. just put a nipple on the IC pipe and run a vac line to it.
