s14 pw not going up

so my window's stuck all the way down and there's nothing obstructing the path for it to go all the way up again. when i lift the button to roll it up, all it does is click. im guessing some rain got into something and i wasnt sure if it was the power window amplifier or the motor.

thanks

take off door panel and bypass power to the motor.

if it goes up then ur switch might be bad.
if it doesnt want to go up but just down then your motor is bad.

the same thing happened to me(only clicking sounds)

if you're hearing clicking sounds, then most likely ur amplifier is still good and (its sending power to the motor. (in that case your motor is probably bad.)

to make sure the amp is good put a volt meter to it.

This happened to me a few months back out of nowhere, it just stayed down. It was the window motor, if the window amp was blown it would click loud enough to hear it and the window would be stationary.

This happens in 95 cars alot....Sometimes it is the switch itself.

My passenger window would work when it wanted to, my friend schooled me on the switch and cleaned the contacts on it and the switch now works perfectly fine.

I'd apply direct power to the motor to see if it's dead. If not then I would look into the switch.

same problem here... window rolled down and never went back up. I took the door panel off and pulled the window back up and tried again,. Window goes down just fine... I just can't get it to come back up. I'm right to assume it is the motor, right?
