Haha... I already had offers from you for building a base map for my Haltech a while back. I'm just not to crazy about the complexity of tuning with Haltech and the lack of tuning support... Or should I say NO tuning support. No one I've talked to in the area has ever tuned one. Anybody know any Cincy area Haltech tuners?

Basically, if they have EVERY touched an EMS before, they will be able to tune on 1.71 for the E8, the newer releases of the software make it so easy, a caveman can do it.

As far as your concern about varying temperatures adversely affecting performance, both steve and I have very good IAT correction value maps FOR the SR. If you are working off of the OEM loaded basemap then I could see your problem, but stating that a map + iat setup will function poorly in cold climate would have to be applied to the other 1000 OEM vehicles utilizing the same setup. As long as the correction maps are on, you'll be fine.

Do you have a flying lead or patch harness?

Seriously, have steve do a base map for you, you will flip over how well it goes.

I have the full patch harness for a redtop SR. I'm still leaning nore towards selling it than keeping it though.

why? too complicated?

Its almost easier than fucking data logit and has at least twice as many features and configurations as AEM, shit a baby with down syndrome could figure out data logit.

well if i do a map for you (as long as your stock wiring is tick top).

You just load it. start the car

and go.

might have to mess with some of the idle settings to get it dead perfect.

but thats about it.
