when i said that, i meant the two things circled in magenta in this picture are on the same wire. i am not sure how the hell i could mess that up. there were no other wires i removed from the stud.

That's wrong, plain and simple.

The battery ground terminal bolts to the battery, then to the chassis anywhere you want, then to the intake manifold/head.

The positive battery terminal leaves the battery and the larger 4ga lead goes straight to the starter. The two smaller 10ga leads go inside to the fusebox, on one leg of the 100A fuse.

The stud in the fusebox goes straight to the alternator. You've got shit all mixed up. I should send you a bag of poo.

so in the last picture, what i had circled in magenta should be bolted to the intake mani.

that part is impossible to mess up as i see it, unless the fusebox had been taken apart.

this is where i get lost. i dont see anything available that i could attach to the fusebox.

ok, wow. it looks like i had the wire for the fusebox on the intake mani, so i had the two backwards. so can u confirm that everything on the alternator side looks legit, so i dont have to waste another one of these damn fuses.

The lead coming off the alternator goes straight up to the fusebox stud. As long as you have that done right the ground doesn't matter, just bolt it to the chassis and engine somewhere, there's two lugs on it.

i think this whole fiasco may have ruined my ecu. the car just cranks, no fuel or spark. seems as if everything is good, went to check ecu and it smells funny, kind of like a burnt match.
