Teflon!
Or get some of those Poly Cutting boards and make a splitter. You can probably get a big one at a restaurant supply.

Just me probably talking out of my ass but it looks like it needs some more support.
It looks like its all just ready to rotate up at the slightest little push upward..

i say just keep on scraping it and don't worry about it the bumper isn't going to explode. as long as you're not 2 feet from the car you don't really notice shit like that
some people i know remove remove their front and rear bumpers in order to pull in and out of their driveway this is a PIA option if you're down |

Yumm on the valve cover.
As far as your bumper situation, one solution is to lower the front more. lol or Rhino liner the bottom or ball bearings or grease your driveway / air bags. A splitter solved my issue, but I installed it weak. Never got around to re-installing. |

i always had a stupid idea of welding on hard rubber wheels to my front core so when i hit driveways that will then lift my car before my bumper hits the driveway. lol i wonder how good or bad that will be lol

the only real ways to get around scraping are the ones mentioned in the thread already. or to simply stop caring all together

If you drive a 240 and care, you are sadly mistaken.
This one time I spent all day re-glassing my bumper and painting it. I put it on my car and promptly destroyed it as I left my driveway. I got out my car and kicked a hole it it. True story. Days later, I bougt a Navan bumper. Put a hole in that too. |

![]() I've thought about how to do it for 240's, using a tubular bash bar/bumper support and triangulating the wheel supports around intercooler piping, but to be honest I don't want to bend my frame up there in front of the strut towers. I don't know how well it would work.

Pointless? What do you even drive, anyway? Rolling authentic aero and driving on the street, no matter how carefully, sometimes you get stuck in a driveway/etc and have to scrape hard, which can break those nicely painted fenders and bumper. There are times when I've wished for those so bad lol.

Lol so when you get in those spots where you're going to scrape HARD, like break shit, or get stuck, you just take it slow and load the casters (little wheels in front), move forward, lift the front wheels off the ground, then when the front wheels hit the ground again you're good. No broken aero, no getting stuck, EVER.

installed new valve cover today... legit status... made a temp catch can until the greddy one arrives...
While putting new valve cover on I see my wastegate vacuum line is broken. Awesome Autozone and 3 bucks later hose is replaced, still mad hesitation. I also purchased some ichiba hubcentric 10mm spacers for my rear so I can get my herra frush on. I'm not going to enjoy removing the old wheel studs... At All |

What is the point of that valve cover?
I've seen them before, but never in any of the JDM mags or videos. (Only seen USA guys do it)

the valve cover is dope. i had luisgonz build me 2. one is for sale and i'm keeping the other one. allegedly it does a better job at collecting oil that would normally be pushing out into your catch can. honestly i'm just a sucker for shiny parts and i think it looks sick. all the lettering on mine is shaved.
info on benefits \/\/ http://zilvia.net/f/chat/228728-hybr...ve-covers.html as soon as i saw this i knew i needed one (johnny5's) ![]() ![]() haha maybe i'll list my 2nd one on yaj. "suuuuper usdm tyte yo!!!!" |

Why would I paint my valve cover lol... I don't drive around with my hood popped. I wiped it off and slapped it on. Threw the old one in a trashbag and put it in my trunk. When I get some skrill, I'll have Luis make me a new cold pipe and a proper intake pipe to utilize the greddy catch can properly.
If this doesn't get rid of my boost leak. I'll cry. |

I used to be really anal about chips and cracks...but when you hit bugs at 130+ on track days all summer, there really isn't much you can do. Not to mention I've ripped off 2 Greddy Lips and ran them over. Oh well. I looked into RocBlock (a clear film bra) at one point in time, but after seeing some cars with it, I just didn't like the look of the edge and the plasticy appearance after a detail. Pictures do not show it as much as 'in person' does. Car looks great, still subscribed to the blog. Always good seeing a 'collaborative' effort of friends and family around cars. Nothing can replace time spent in a garage with the guys, the beer, and the cars.
