From personal experience, spray paint clear coat is a hit or miss. I would just use a gloss with no clear coat but wax it often.

Here's my buddy's hatch. Fresh Valspar purple with Valspar white hood and fluorescent spray painted wheels.

Why? Because they like bright colors? My buddy has been into 240s WAY before you have. That's his track slut just to say he can. He has less than 3k invested into it.
