i like how thissnip throws out 90%/91k 240's registered also. searched google on how many 240s are registered and then went to the "pic thread" and counted how many users ride on rotas then bust out the calculator and did some number crunching.

Are you guys sure you have a real HKB? Real HKBs are pretty strong and pretty much the supplier for hubs in Japan. I have my HKB S14 hub for a long time without any issues, and am confident that it's a real HKB.

This is what a real HKB box looks like. Note the p/n tag.

All those imitation tries to mimic the HKB box with the same green color design and style.

and before the Works Bell fan boys get worked up, I have a Gen 1 QR from when Works Bell did not offer steering wheel hubs.

I like how you're still focused on something from the 1st page

90% was more of a sarcastic guess to get the point across. 91k registered came from :http://zilvia.net/f/chat/410908-polk...stered-us.html

Common sense would have helped you figure that one out. He's a pretty nice guy once you get to know him.

I don't know. I was told i bought a momohub + QR, when i bought my wheel setup and i push my car uphill, over the lip of, and into my garage by the wheel. My hub/qr are fine/unbent.

LOL just because "90% of the s-chassis community has rotas" does not make them good quality. On the contrary, s-chassis owners buy rotas because they're CHEAP. I've seen rotas break on the track. They are not the best quality.

Didn't common sense tell you that? I thought he was a nice guy

HKB has been around longer than Works Bell. And it is Works Bell, unless you have some knockoff called Bell Works...

I will make a trip to my dads shop and take pictures of just about every single OEM wheel broken. (LKQ)
Seen plenty of fucked up 1k+ wheels too.
I took a curb with my rota's once, didn't bend/dent, they're 100% fine. My friend bent the barrel on his Blitz Technospeed's (still hold air) hitting a pothole...

Wheels break, and shit happens. Just because you spent 1k+ on wheels doesn't mean they are invincible. However at the end of the day if my friend can even FIND a technospeed or a barrel for that matter in the right size/offset, he can expect a heavy price tag and a long wait.
With my rotas i can have a new one within the week, for a reasonable price.

I do believe you get what you pay for, but some things make more sense for different people at different incomes.

That's not true. Recaro doesn't make anything like a Bride Gias. They did copy the gradation design which was originally from Recaro but that's about it.

I saw a stress test online somewhere comparing a knock off wheel to a brand name wheel, I forgot the link and I'm too lazy to find it. It was either enkei or weds. Meh, I would never buy rotas anyway but that's just me.

*edit - Thanks Austin!

USDM: I never said that because a shit ton of people have them makes them good quality. I never even said they are good quality. But if they did nothing but break so many people wouldn't have them. If you are comparing the quality of rotas to the ebay wheel in the op's video you are fucking high. I'm not the one that tried to start a rota debate so get off my dick
