![]() But yes, according to the original post of this thread, I guess your fitment is within the guidelines of the thread. However, when I here "max" fitment, I assume it's max tire fitment for the vehicle... not for the wheel. Otherwise by that logic I would have to be impressed by a 225 on a 18x7 ![]() |

Gentleman, I absolutely agree with you on all aspects, I personally would love to be rollin 295/305 no less but for 2 reasons I am not... 1) I got my tire sets for a total of $200; can't beat that regardless & 2) Trojan Magnum's go on when you have enough power to churn the butter. Simply put I'm too underpowered to run that much rubber (not ashamed to say it) but literally next month my engine bay gets a significant upgrade and from there I'll make all the necessary changes. Sound good?

Wreckless, you aren't the only one here... There were a few people above you. You're in the 275s out back which is still respectable, however 275's on a 10.5" rim is not max Trojan...

Who cares about the control arm? It will be inside the wheel and even if it didn't, you'd be into the strut before that happened.

Why did you have to notch it? Full lock clearance? I can't see why the bottom side would have to be notched...

I just reread his post, looks like he is talking about the rears... I understand why on those. Not enough inboard clearance if you aren't running ridiculous camber.

I haven't gotten any bites on the other thread in a few days, so i'll post here...
back again... same question but with a different specs. looking at the 15x8 +20 or 16x8+20 now... looking to fit 225/50 on there. again when i lower it, it will only be an inch or so. don't want to molest the fenders. debating on this for a while now gotta bit the bullet soon :/ i will have all three rear arms, tension rods, aftrmrkt sways, stock brake setup specs just upgraded. c/o's, collars, etc was set on going with the 225/50/15 but with stock height and 50 series tires the gap would be rather awkward, I would have to slam it to make it look right... or get 60 series tires. and going with 225s I think I would have more problems aka more trouble to make them fit. also i go to different tire calculators and they give me different readings for the speedo. 1010 tires gives me @ 60mph for 225/50/16 = 58.4 mph discounttire = 61.6 rimsntires = 61.7 how do i determine which is right? i see that i look at the revs per mile but they all have diff numbers. thanks again guys for the help. i believe that 225/60/15 would be too tall and wide to fit stock metal fenders. not only that but for aggressive/spirited driving, on off ramps etc/ not on on the track, it would actually hinder the handling vs a 50 series tire.. is that correct thinking? if it wouldn't hinder and fit without modding of the fenders i would do it. 225/50/16 fit with no problems from someone on here. i really would like to do the 15s as i have seen a few s14s pull it off quite nicely. a PM a few more ppl whos ride i found through LOTS of searching. so i am waiting on their responses as well.

Not running a 300 series on stock metal yet but I guess it's somewhat respectable. The fronts still rub so I'm going to raise the whole car about 3/4"

^^^^^Damn near perfect max tire fitment!^^^^^ Although raising the car 3/4" is going to ruin that studly look.
I have always considered some CCW's for mine. |

Spencer that Kouki has been looking awesome since you got it long long ago.
I think the height is perfect. Maybe raise the front maybe 5mm or 1/8"? Not much but may be enough to stop the rubbing? And since were on the topic of your Kouki, what rear lip is that? Looks like a Modded Honda lip lol.

Just go with the 15x8 +20 on 225/50/15. Lighter and smaller rolling diameter. R&p and you're good. You can slam it with that setup also. What wheels you getting? 5lug? |

I ran 275 R888's on all four corners last year..and tire contact patch isn't everything.
Going down to a 255 front and keeping the 275 rear Its way to hard to keep a 275 up front without having to destroy/modify your front fenders and bumper. Not to mention I was on stock wheel wells.

Guys some advice? Running a 17x9 +30 gtr wheel on my s14. Thinking of running 255 40 17 all round.. Am I gonna have rubbing issues? Rear arches are rolled and I am on RSR lowering springs. I dont think it will be an issue but I want to make sure before I buy the tires. Have been doing alot of researching, but dont wanna mess it up. This is for a DD/back road driving setup
