headgasket is blown. as for bleeding the system, the best way is to pull a vacuum on the coolant system and let it suck coolant back in. that's the way the dealerships do it now. most of us don't have access to this equipment.

I am having the same issue , and my symptoms sound exactly the same as what your saying.

What was your problem ? Im afraid my headgasket is the issue , although I dont get the HG symptoms.. milky oil , white smoke from exhaust and compression from what the last owner told me was good.

Still overheating and radiator is scorching hot.... Which was replace (mishimoto)

Help !!

Everytime the cooling system is opened on ka its a big pain the ass to bleed!

I have had this problem numerous times which is why I hate opening the cooling system, car can idle for 2 hours and never overheat as soon as u drive it, temp climbs. Like mentioned remove ur tstat and if it doesnt overheat then then its air pockets in system, on average I have to bleed ka about 5 times, before u rebleed it let it cooldown and try again, after u get all air out u should see coolant flowing in radiator

FIXED !

After I installed my 2 core mishimoto radiator and bled the system real well squeezed about every coolant hose and let car run for a good 30 minutes lol.

question ; I have an electric fan now how can i wire this up ? I hear most people install this to the ignition line.

Don't squeeze hoses. Elevate the front end, remove bleeder, turn car on with heat on hell @ full blast, and add water till the bleeder pisses but.keep pouring til its bolted down. If that doesn't help, you have a bad headgasket, coolant blockage, or bad thermostat.

If you have a KA and are having trouble bleeding your coolant system you need an air lift bleeder tool. You will never have trouble bleeding air out of the coolant system with this tool.

The coolant should run clear on the radiator after bleeding.. Maybe your radiator isn't good or the cap on it..

Turn your car on. and go check if there's pressure on your radiator cap before car warms up.

If it squeezes out air when you're taking it off before it goes up to operating temperature you have a bad head gasket.

Combustion gases are going into your cooling system.
