So i picked up some 17x8 + 35 and some 17x9 + 35 Wheels and i'm finally going to be getting around to getting them put on. I originally was planning on trying to squeeze a 275/40/17 on the 17x9+35's and do a 235/40 or 45/17 on the 17x8+35 But it seems like a 255/40/17 might be the better idea for the 17x9.

This is going on a S13 Coupe. with rolled fenders (can pull if need be but not looking to do any major massaging. Just not sure if the 275 would be a better idea to hold a 500+WHP hit.

Still debating on what tire, Trying to get away from running a drag radial all the time.

A 265 would probably be the most you'd be able to squeeze on a 9. If you look at some of the tires available they run extremely wide. I had 265/35/18 Azenis RT615's and they were less than an .125" or an 1/8" smaller than the 275's, which is why I went to 285's.
