You know how normally a lot of animes have some a slow build and kinda of blow episdoe 1-4? This was good from the word go.

The Perfect Insider - Favorite new anime in a while. Though there are only a couple of episodes out at the moment, so it may still end up being dumb.
Beautiful Bones - Interesting so far as well.
Non Non Biyori Repeat - Prettiest scenery out of any show I have ever seen.
Your Lie in April - Intense classical music battles.
Himouto! Umaru-chan - Everyone has seen it, right?

Railgun FTW! (toaru kagaku no railgun if u can't find it as railgun) quite possibly the best anime I have seen in a while. I'm in love with the main character, but thats another story,

Melancholy of Haruhi suzumiya, I need to watch disappearance of haruhi suzumiya

kill la kill (which is old, but I've never seen it until now)

Serial experiments lain, which was quite awesome in its creepyness and had an excellent beginning as well as subject matter (its pretty old too)

Toaru majetsu no index, which is pretty good, I originally started watching it to get some more of my favorite character from railgun which it hasn't at all provided, but its still good.

Michiko and hatchin, which was pretty frickin terrible, might be the worst anime I've ever seen.

Need to get around to watching the original ghost in the shell movie, which I have never seen.

again, everyone should watch space dandy, I can't stress that enough

The last few anime's I've really enjoyed were
GenoCyber and Danshi Kokosei No Nichijo pretty much polar opposites in genre but I both gave me plenty of laughs.

I havent watched the newer animes, but some good ones were "Full Metal Panic", "Welcome to NHK", "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". (not Disappearance)
Pretty much any Miyazaki is good. (Even "Tales of Earthsea" , made by his son)
Anything by Makoto Shinkai, top 3 would be:
- "Hoshi no koe" which is pretty short but its good
- "Children who chase lost voices"
- "5 centimeters per second"

"Sword art online" is good, so is "DanMachi".

Also its kind of new so I dont know if its available in the states but the movie "Bakemono No Ko". Its good.

I think it would be cool to list our top 10 animes ever, that way its easier to gauge what people think is good, especially if you haven't watched something on someone elses best list. I have a feeling everyones are gonna be similar though

This is a quick list, I didn't think about it that hard.

1. Cowboy Bebop, which I watched subbed, because I wasn't part of that Adult Swim era, still it is the greatest thing ever, better than the freakin pyramids man, it needs space above the rest.

I've been keeping up with One Punch Man, that shit is quite amazing. Saitama is hilarious.

I've also been following the newest Gundam series, Iron-Blooded Orphans. It's actually pretty damn good so far, if you're a Gundam fan you won't be disappointed. It's a bit more grounded than some of the other recent Gundam series.

And ofcourse I've been keeping up with Dragon Ball Super. At first I was skeptical as hell as to why the anime would be redoing the movies, but so far I actually prefer the anime to the movies. They're doing a better job fleshing out the fights and developing the characters more. They've even added more scenes that weren't in the movies.

Yes but its soo fast paced its amazing, more realistic feel, I've been watching Initial D for decades and its always nice to see a better rendition than the older quality stages(1-2) that cgi was TURRIBLE but i still watched the heck out of them but these two movies are great. The only discrepancy is NO EUROBEAT

If any of you like Feudal japan era Animes like serious ones Shigurui-Death Frenzy is awesome the feel of it has soo much authenticity right from the start just action it slow at times but totally worth it!

The story begins in 1629 Shizuoka during Tokugawa Tadanaga's rule. The daimyo staged a tournament where the participants fought with real steel Japanese swords rather than bokken ("wooden sword"), against his vassals' strong objection. The story revolves around the first match between the one-armed swordsman Fujiki Gennosuke and the blind samurai Irako Seigen and deals with the circumstances that led the two to participate in Tokugawa's tournament.
