I just finished Trinity Seven. It's got an ok story. Kinda predictable though. Hilarious fan service. Wouldn't mind watching season 2 if there's one. I just think it's a funny time killer.

Meh, they"re already pretty white, at least Japanese people are anyway. Its more like "they wish they had different hair and eye color". When i was there, a significant portion of the population had dyed their hair. Not that that is bad, it just shows their desire to be different.

I caught up on Iron Blood Orphans dub. Feels nostalgic watching another gundam. Now im either tempted to watch the rest in subs or just wait till saturday nights for toonami like I did for the old gundam shows 10+ years ago when I was a jit.

I got this list of shows/movies but not sure what I feel like watching or where to start on a binge. Watched a bit of Mushishi and is really good to watch before knocking out at night.

Well you see there are personal favorites and shows that are great by critic point of view (story, character development, ost etc...) Its not my #1 but it's still rated #1 by almost everyone

Im long over due for it tbh, its a must to watch at this point. I havent watched a decent shounen in ages. I caught up on naruto and that was a nostalgic ride for 8 year old me even thought its beat to shit at this point.

Uggggggggh, DB Super with the mega-cliff hanger. Hopefully next week we finally find out who Black is with next preview saying he's not a fake Goku.

Also negative points for not having more Young Trunks v. Old Trunks.

Lastly, they ain't really playing by the normal time continuum rules are they? I guess when Zamasu wished for immortality that trumps time also? Though it would've been anti-climatic as hell for him to be offed that easily.

Yeah it didnt make sense. Beerus assured everybody that since he assassinated a God that it does indeed alter time and dimension. They show the preview for the next episode and hes still there. What?

Its obvious that BLACK is a physical manifestation of Zamasu's evil thoughts. So technically BLACK is Zamasu. He used the super dragon balls to create him.

As incredible as it was, I feel that their first fight at the Valley of the End was more dramatic & impactful. It's still good though.


I always told myself that once Bleach & Naruto ended, I was going to stop watching anime... Unless some old throwback series released new content. Well, I guess its time to pick up the new Jojo, Berserk series and Evangelion stuff... lol

I never used to watch anime but the last year and a bit have just been binging a lot. Not many new shoes but stuff I missed being younger/different mindset.

Grew up with toonami and didnt even know what anime was. I remember thinking damn these are some really serious "cartoons" Think after toonami ended I stopped and in like in 2014 I rewatched gundam g & wing and later that year saw gundam 00. After that saw Bebop then not even two days later saw NGE and what a back to back mind fuck experience that was.

I mainly watch because it reminds me of when I used to be kid watching Immortal Grand Prix, Samurai Jack, Gundam, Naruto, yu yu hakusho on toonami. I think im making up lost time after all these years and being busy with work/school 24/7 its nice to come home from work and chill for two hours watching a show. I think i'll stop watching when I run out of good shows. Most newer shows I dont like mainly because no dubs or its trope central.

Unrelated im half way done with FMA brotherhood and its FMA day! Really digging the show a lot.

So now the cat is out of the bag. Zamasu used the Super Dragonballs to insert his consciousness into Universe 10 Goku's body (and somehow retain his own body as well). So Black really is Zamasu. So I guess there really was a point to having Black clutch at his chest at multiple times, which didn't have anything to do with being yanked across time... Dude legit has the heart virus and probably doesn't even know it. Is he immortal with the heart virus?! That's gotta suck.

What a shitty use of Super Dragonballs. Pretty sure even regular Dragonballs could have done that or even wish a planet back into existence...

Zamasu pulled a muthafuckin Captain Ginyu! I have to say at this point I had given up on the whole Zamasu is Goku idea. They still got some explainin' to do on who exactly that Zamasu he's rollin' with right now is, looks like they'll explain it more next episode. But I'm thinking, just how many wishes did that dude get off? I thought it was supposed to difficult gathering the Super Dragon Balls in the first Place (remember all that bitchin' Champa did?), and then no of the other gods got wind of all his gathering and wishing? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Ships is long gone man discussing. What I said was I got a different perspective here in the states where blacks/whites is SA are truely racist. Not what you see where when little white says nigga from a Biggie song or some guy getting shot by the police for pointing a gun at them. There is actual racist and social injustice going on there. If you want to talk about it more then PM. My parents lived through the apartheid but here are two points about the apartheid everyone missed and wasnt like the racial separation here in the states.

1) The blacks more than anything wanted the separation as much as the whites. The whole point was for the white people to have there own "home land" and when we created schools, jobs and an actual country the blacks wanted to come over to work and get educated which they didnt have the structure for in there home lands. We even built schools and gave them basic education and get told we didn't do anything for them. >20% of the population must try equally spread out basic education to the whole while some blacks literally burned down there schools...Tribes in africa want just as much separation with whites as they do with other blacks. Thats why they still to this day have there own home lands.

2)Even though there are racists whites in south Africans and separation of races isnt ethical you cant lie to me and say the country has gotten better since its ended. Look at zimbabwe where they kicked the whites out, country is in a mess. The blacks are equally as racist if not more than whites. There is a genocide against the whites right now and if your a 18-55 year old man, good luck finding a job. The blacks want nothing to do with the whites and all the whites want to do is build the country. For fucks sake the president has maybe a 3rd grade education and says stuff like
"Africa is bigger than other continents all continents can fit in Africa"

Thats end of that, back to the thread. Is there a big difference between the first FMA and then brotherhood? Why was there a reboot in the first place?

Huge ginormous difference. Pretty much everything after they meet Greed the first time is all filler. Including the movie, Conqueror of Shambala. And it's all hot garbage in comparison to Brotherhood, which faithfully animates the manga's story.

Ive herd mixed things about the two. Some people like the first and other swear by the second. Im really digging brotherhood right now. Gonna try "download" the rest of the series and the movie and binge it the next few days while this hurricane passes by. Hopefully power doesnt cut out lol

It is but what kinda bugs me is all the real tropey anime shit and artistic changes in between the actual serious dialog or plot. Kinda spoils it imo even if there is maybe a few funny scenes.

Don't get me wrong, the 1st FMA was good when it first came out. But as soon as they introduced the Dante character, I could just tell something was decidedly wrong with the story and it's direction. I didn't know it was filler at the time, but it's like I could subconsciously smell the fillerness of it... It just didn't FEEL right...lol...

And it's filler for sure because the manga wasn't done being written at the time when the anime caught up to it around the Greed storyline time.

After seeing Brotherhood, I can't even stomach the original version anymore. The only parts a remember fondly are Maes being goofy about his family & Ed's qualification exam against Mustang. I'd rather forget everything else.

And what are you talking about artistic changes? This stuff? I loved that stuff lol...

Yeah exactly that, the show has such a serious tone and pretty fucked up moral themes. Like that one alchemist transmuting is daughter and wife into dogs. What the actual fuckkkk. The whole first episode where they transmute there "mom" was such a fucked up scenario.

I get what theyre doing changing the style and making it more light hearted because it a shoen and younger demo but yeah not my cuppa tea. Other than that no complaints. Really sold all around. Cant wait to see what happens next. At where envy and ED/shin dude are in gluttony stomach and envy changed to his true form.
