There was a movie that came out about 10 years ago that I was referencing, which exposed most of the vulnerabilities they discussed in that hearing. Lawmakers have known of these issues for a long time. The failure is on both sides of the aisle. The fact that it took until now to supposedly be exploited is highly suspicious.

Look at how many possible explanations there are:
1. Human error - shitty system with shitty government support plus the complexity of adding the mail-in ballot.
2. Democrats rigged it yet managed to do it in the least sneaky manner ever and were so bad at it they couldn?t even win the senate.
3. Republicans knew it could be a tight race and that introduction of mail voting would cause a total clusterfuck and then encouraged clusterfuckery so they could take legal action should they lose the election.
4. Outside interests wanted to destabilize the USA by dividing the country and making their beloved voting system look like a sham.
5. Some other shit I haven?t thought of.
E. All of the above to a degree

I?d take #1 tbh. In that hearing yesterday the clerk (err I forget her title) and cyber security guy mentioned how poorly trained staff were. That manual for the machines was thicccc. There are a million ways people could have fucked up. Even the witnesses didn?t seem to fully know what they were doing.

I would support a thorough forensic investigation of the machines and a revamp of the entire fucking voting system though. Government contracts need to be rigorously vetted, especially when it comes to voting machines and materials (30 of 50 fucking boxes were trash?!!).
Remember when Trump told everyone to vote in person and through absentee? I think we need to investigate if that resulted in double votes.

There's too many holes. Too much evidence and now PROOF that laws were broken stacking up. Too many dems REEing too hard during these hearings trying to memory hole everything and throw around the word 'discredited'. If the people on these legislatures don't do their jobs now, there's going to be a BIG civility problem on the streets.

Yeah, there are checks and balances that are supposed to be in place to ensure that doesn't happen, but based on how inept and/or overwhelmed the poll workers were, who knows...

Circumstantial evidence? Yes. Witness testimony? Yes. Vetted and verified proof? Like worthy of the court of law proof PROOF? That's a stretch. A lot of the witnesses they presented seemed a bit... wrapped up in the politics or it all, which of course is bound to happen when it's a political subject, but if what they say happened actually happened, it's a bigger issue than red v blue.
