SR

check your maf cicuitry might have a bad ground. something is causing your car to go into safe mode. most cases with the car not goin past 2000 rpm is usually maf related. so start off by checking that out and also check the ecu for any codes this might help you pinpoint your problem.

yup sounds like your maf is putting you in limp mode. unplug your maf and see if it runs better or the same.

A crack in the MAFs plastic shouldn't hurt it unless something conductive got under it and messed up the circuitry in there. This is quite possible since your cars probably exposed to all the elements. Usually if you unplug the MAF the car won't start (not sure with SR). Check your ECU for codes.

I hope you didn't drive with it?!?!?

Air escapes from infinitismal spaces in the piping= boost leak

Dirt can get in the cracked maf. I would try another MAF.

I have an S14 SR MAF sensor. Was from my Kouki S14 SR. I swapped in a z32 MAF. It's in great working condition. Let me know if you're interested. PM me or something
