s13 what to do with 3k?

I have 3k to put into my car. it's a 91 s13
here's what it already has:
rota d2's
cusco coilovers
maxxis tires
apexi muffler
k&n airfilter
strut bars
car alarm

this is what i want to get:
2 sparco torino sport seats $1120
Cusco LSD $880
B&M short shifter $199

that leaves about $600

i want to know what you think about these parts or if you know of some where i could get them for less or have any other suggestions. the most important thing to me is handeling, but some more power would be nice too, although i don't want to do any internal mods... i could probably get some used seats for less at infineon.

thanks for your help, max

Yes save some of it.

Since when did k&n filters count as a mod?

Since you already have coilovers...

Get some multilink... www.splparts.com

and replace those nasty bushings.

Subframe collars make a nice difference too...

will, if handling is more important to you, maybe you you could wait on the seats and get all your suspension gear up first. That's just IMO though.

sell your s13, save your money. putting money into an s13 is stupid. you're better off spending that money on something more realistic, like a ferrari.

Fuck a Ferrari.

Buy an apartment complex in the San Fernando Valley.

Become a slumlord (how do you think I got to where I am?).

Let your money work for you.

You can also invest it in me. I believe in a high rate of return. In fact, your money will be safe with me, and there will be no risks in your portfolio, only GREAT RETURNS.

Get the LSD and buy only one racing seat(and a cheaper one like the SPL bucket)...
Make sure all the maintenance is up to date on your motor, get an alignment, and take your car to the track just like that...

Save the rest of the money until you are really good at driving what you have...

IMO...

Buy an s13 clip and SR20ize your car. All of the other things can be purchased slowly. Suspension arms, bushing, brakes, wheels, seats, etc.. none of them are as tough a nut to crack as that initial SR install. So if you get that done, the hard part is over already, and then piecing everything else together won't seem as difficult because you can buy it as you have money to spend.

However, maybe if you told us what you wanted to do with the car, we could give you some better advice lol... you going to track it? Drift, auto-x, road racing, daily driver? What's the car's purpose?

ebay racing seat(cobraue forza II(sp) for 300ish) full intake system, header, exhaust, safc II, wideban(learn to tune) tie rod end upgrade, and save the rest until you know the car better and you'll have enough then to do a sr20det swap, or whatever turbo upgrade you want to do.

you dont need to spend 1200 on seats, a cheap seat works...just doesnt hold up as well(fabric) comparied to some of them... but who cares, short shifters are worthless...it really doesnt change anything that justifies 200 bucks, a lsd wouldnt be a bad idea, but are you ready for a 1.5 or 2 way is more of the question, what are the plans for the car? drift, grip, or drag...

and...why buy 2 racing seats? what if you have a fat guy in one day, and a skinny chick the next... peoples sizes vairy so much its not worth having a seat for them, get one that fits you best and tell them to hold on

HOOKERS AND BLOW

im selling a red sparco fighter for $350+shipping if your interested...sorry for the shameless plug other than that if you plan on going SR i say do that first....get all the big stuff outta the way. You dont have 3k to toss around everyday (or do you?) so id go for the SR wich is expensive, and may be harder to save up another 3k for that than 1k for coilovers or whatever..if your not doing an engine swap then i say coilovers and some small things like a shift knob, subframe bushings etc and save the rest....seriously.... SAVE YOUR MONEY

1st - dismount and burn those Rotas, then buy some wheels from me. I have some very nice wheels for sale right now.

B. if you want a seat so bad, get one for DRIVER ONLY. Fuck passengers. They want a racing seat, they can buy it themselves.

III. get some multilink stuff, for the front tension rods, and the whole rear.

(2x2). buy a used clutch diff from someone. You don't need a new diff.

FIFTH. If you're buying anything before paying off any debt you owe or making your car reliable, you're stupid. You're doubly stupid if you pay someone to do the installation for you.

^+1.) short shifter is an unnecessary mod. If you MUST do it, do it cheaply.

7.) take any money you have left and either invest/save it or start buying/selling stuff (with the intent to profit) with it.

i too would also recommend some multilink suspension components. i adore my battle version RUCAS and toe arm. oh and beefing up your front tie rods isnt a bad idea,i purchased mine from SPL. dont forget to do an alignment

and how about a new set of grippy tires>>>one of the most important factors in handling

Id say get an ES'ARE. You can grab one from a company on here that is selling them for like 1350 I think. Swap it yourself and then you still have cash money to spend on some other susp. parts like links, sways, etc, tie rods + ends. People who recommend coils read intial post, hes already got cuscos. I am on the "fuck your passenger" bandwagon as far as a pair of any kind of racing seat. Get one real good one. With any money left over do the T28 upgrade or other minor power adders for the motor. That is, assuming your car is not in need of any maintanence first as I agree to fix basic problems first. Thats why 240 owners have such a bad wrap, everyones (ok not everyone) ride looks like shit and breaks down all the time.

Go to www.SPLparts.com and buy everything they make for the S13 as far as suspension. Then drive, and drive, and drive, and drive. Then you can start worrying about other parts.

Buy a mod then put the rest in the bank and save it till you get another huge amount than buy another mod for your s13. I mean its fun to get everything at once but yeah you might find out you need more parts cause s13's are pretty old.

get good seats

i dont think those ebay seats are safe. they are only for show and probably wont pass inspection if you go to a track. cheap seats dont work in other words, and besides you be sitting on those for a long time most likely.. dont cheap out on seats
