haltech wont turn on fuel pump

I have a problem with my Haltech E8. I have the plug and play harness for the s15 sr20det. I put 850cc injectors in with a bigger turbo, so I bought the Haltech. John from RPsport made a basemap for me that I uploaded to the ECU, so when I try and start the car, the fuel pump won't turn on. After checking all the fuses and seeing none blown, I tried again. No success. I thought maybe my fuel pump went bad, so I put my stock ecu in to see if it would turn the fuel pump on. Sure enough the fuel pump turns on with the stock ecu. So I plug Haltech BACK up and it won't turn on. I am stumped. Help.

That is all.

you could just look up the haltech fuel pump output wire (pin 24 of the 36 pin connector, black and yellow.) and wire that directly to the fuel pump relay wire.

thats what i would do, hope that helps

I am helping Mark out over email. But, if there are any S14 with S15 swap specialist out there, that want to chime in on some EGI relay on insight that would be great.

I think there is just an issue in the way the haltech wants to turn the fuel pump and egi relay on through the harness.

Does he have the right Haltech Plug and Play harness?

It should work then no?

if i remember correctly.. if the haltech isn't grounded properly, it will still get power but go into safe mode and not allow any power to the fuel pump

I know nothing about Haltech, but why not see if its sending +12 or ground signal to the relay? simple test

If it's powering up through the Stock ECU it should power up through the Haltech ECU

unless it is not grounded properly as forementioned...but with the plug and play everything should be in it's propper place.

check if you are getting voltage or ground coming from pin 24, this is a definitive way to check for the grounding problem.

this will allow you to definitively figure out if its a wiring problem or an ecu problem.

pin 24 in the 34pin connector on the Haltech? or the main wiring harness connector?

on the 34 pin connector i am getting 11v at the pin 24 on the 34 pin connector. But pin 10 and 11 is not a ground like it says on the haltech diagram. I had to use the chassis for a ground for the multimeter. Could this be a sign?

Found the problem. Aus S15 Pinout has 3 pins different than the JDM S15.
