Just a quick question, and if there is already a forum on how to do the complete swap, please let me know.

I've pulled out everything from my S14 here in japan, and packed it all up and getting it rdy to move to the states. My last final bit is to cut the fire wall.

So, where exactly do I need to cut? DO i need to cut the whole fire wall out, or just sections. Then when I get to the states, have it welded into my new 240sx. And, How hard is this process to weld the fire wall back into the new 240sx? Anyone with experience on this would be a great deal of help. Thanks!!

Why bother? RHD in the states will suck. Between cops harassing you, not being able to use drive thrus and attracting attention that you may not want (thieves).

I have a converted rhd 240. Cut the entire firwall as close as you can to the outsides, dont forget the body harness so you dont have to extend all your wires.

i really dont have any problems w/ driving rhd car here, its just like lhd to me once your used to it. with the exceptions of drive thrus etc... i really dont think its as bad as people always say it is.

Definately not worth it. MOST of the time, if you have to ask how to do something like this, hacking up an important part of you car's structure isn't a great idea. Either way, its a waste of time and money in my opinion.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard. Do you know what spot welds are? How to drill them out, and how to replace panels?

RHD is great. All the arguments people make against it being difficult to drive and to adjust to traffic is all bullshit, I've owned 4 RHD's in the past 5 years and have never ONCE had a close call or anything of the sort. Just don't be a dumb ass.

PS: It sucks for you guys in the states trying to get JDM cars legalized...

Umm guys this Topic was a question for information. Not to get bashed or told it's a shitty idea. So I'll give you MY reasons as to why I'm going through with all this.

-Military ships over all my parts for free anyways. (Entire cars are not free)
-I already HAVE everything I possibly need to make it RHD. Would be a waste not too.
-I like to be unique
-LHD drifting is retarded. If I wanted to steer with my Left hand and grip the ebake with my right, then I'd go watch porn.
-My new car is called a "Project Car". That means it's a project and anything I do to it is considered FUN. So stop being haters cause your broke a$$ hoes cant afford.

If anyone has any real information for with any tips, it would be lovely. Thanks!

RHD is gay. believe me, all i get are a bunch of doods checkin me out when i drive my RHD S14 K's. well, some girls too, but it certainly doesnt make up for the amount of cock eye ballin me. it gets really fucking annoying when people just pace you, staring at you, that really grinds my gears, especially when drivers turn back to look (not watching the road). but, IIRC, ive never been harassed by cops in my car, and it works out for me because im disabled in my left arm and need my right arm more for steering.

make sure you bring your steering column, all the pedals, the interior harness, all that shit

america is full of losers that think rhd is so stupid but they have a jdm tyte car with an sr thats lhd

youll need anything and everything that bolts to the firewall, plus the engine bay/interior harness.
