HKS Doesn't make a sequential for the RB26 but their early model boxes are decent as they were made by holinger. Can usualy find one for around 3-5K and a friend of mine just did a how to and how to rebuild them so price is right at the right time and I might buy one of those.

I am going to shelf the transmission for now and do more research.

I Am thinking that Jericho might be a good choice.
GForce GF5R (GTR-700 uses one) might be a good choice
Also the Cross Mission is out. Too many friends of mine are popping them even after treatments over here.

If I can get these guys here in Okinawa to part with the OS88 they had promised me a while back, I will definitely get it, but they are backing out as of right now.

Update:
I decided to do wheel tubs and ditch all fo the fiberglass crap. Thanks to the guys in the fabrication thread for pointing me int he right direction. I Got most of the drivers side tub done this weekend. I still need to trim it up, grind a little, add a couple more welds and do some bondo work but all that is only a days worth the work anyways. Here are the pics. When it is all done everything will be nice and smooth without a metric shit ton of fiber, bondo, filler and other crap. The passenger side will be a little different as I will weld in joiner pipes for the intercooler piping and a couple other things, but all will pretty much be same same and hopefully all finished up by Sunday.

Nice job as always! I see you went all the way down to the frame rail. Did you put sheet on both sides like the factory or just one piece on the engine side? Or did you just use slightly thicker material? I need to take my tubs all the way down to the rail when i do mine so was just wondering how you did it.

I left a little bit of the original metal vertical from the frame rail for me to weld to (About 2 inches). I also used 1.2mm sheet metal which is a little thicker than original. Littel bit of a bitch to work with but it is sturdy. Make sure you leve some tabs of stock metal to weld to all the way around. The fab thread in the tech section answered my questions with a shit load of pictures and how to's so you should look int hat thread before you do too much.

Option 4: Th400 or 4L80E Race prepped transmission with manual valve bodies, and proper stall converter.

Paddle shifter and call it a day. sounds like the best bang for buck to me with the power number requirement to match.

Can't deny the fact that people are putting 2000 HP through that solution with no problemand extremely consistent times as well. I will have to put alot of dedicated thought into my diff and tranny combo to make sure I get it right.

What kind of engine management are you going to use? If its aem ems can control the 4l80e so manual valve bodies really wouldn't be needed.

Got the Wheel tubs all set up and Bondo laid down. I will sand the shit out of it over the few days and then repaint the engine bay. Looks Like I might actually be on schedule kind of sort of with this one. I did not take pictures yet, but I used Body Caulk and sealed up all of the seams within the wells themselves to prevent rust and will go ahead do undercoating as soon as everything is complete.

Also, I am working possibly getting a deal on a HKS Dog box with modified transfer and triple plate clutch. If it goes through, the transmission issue is solved.

Wheel Tubs are ready for some paint. A little wet sanding throughout the engine bay and I am good to go for paint in about one week. I also have to do body caulk between the core support and the tubs, although wleded in, I made it possible to replace the core support by using a drill and a grinder to remove it. The body caulk will help keep crap and wet shit out of there.
Originally I was going to 70mm - 80mm transition/joiner pipes welded into the new sheet metal for the intercooler piping on the hot side to connect to, but I discovered that the size is a little too much and would interfere with the frame rail, so Now I am going to either make a 70mm oval slot or two 80mm holes, just haven't decided yet, but then again, I don't need to any time soon.

I used black paintable body caulk to seal up all of the seams inside of the wheel well, next I will hit it up with some undercoating and call it finished under there.

Great job on the tubs! After just doing this myself, I can say that yours are probably the perfect size. Bondo helps with the look soooooo much.

YEah it has been a while, but it takes time to sock away the money for all of these nice parts too. Should only be another year or so. Chasis is done after the engine bay paint, but then I have to come up with cash for EMS, Seats, Mission, Proper Rear end and some pipes along wiht all of the little shit that is going to come up. Would be alot closer in the next 2 months but paying for shipping is going to cost some dough.
