Cheaper, easier to recycle, easier to take places (most beach/river/parks don't allow glass), etc etc. I love the idea of taking Dales Pale Ale on the shore, without any worry from the park rangers busting my balls about glass.

Exactly. It's weed killer in a pink jar. Terrible beer.

With the new coatings they spray on the inside they are inert. Don't have to worry about the acidity of the beer reacting with the metal. This was the main reason quality beers didn't like cans.

Tasted like smoked liquorice. Not natural smoke ether.

I want to brew some more complex beers. But aging for 9-12months. I need to do some more short runs and get more carboys.

Speaking of can beers, this shit's good. Butternuts Moo Thunder Stout

There's a Butternuts sampler 12 pack I'd suggest picking up. Good stuff.

Green Flash - Saison Diego B

A well priced approachable beer. Nice flavor and good carbonation. Main issue is that it's not much in regard to a saison, but still a nice beer. I think this one could use a bit better finish, and hope GF sorts out out for the next batch

Weyerbacher - Sour Black A-
A sour black ale? Yes that's what this is. Total new 'mash' of flavors, but it actually works. Not overly acidic sour, and not to 'black' in regard to the taste. Really interesting, and a nice purhcase IMO.

Weyerbacher - Blashphemy Cork/Cage B+
This is is a barrel aged version of their Quad. I remember the old recipie being much better, but may need to re visit this one to see if it was just me on my taste buds. Big whiskey barrel taste, and of course Weyerbacher's boozy quad underneath. Still not a bad beer, and really want to try again. Nice carbonation, good barrel taste...just still a bit hot. I'll give it some time to mellow

Weyerbacher - Whiskey Barrel Aged Brown Ale Project A-
This beer was reallllly neat. A whiskey aged brown ale? Yup they did this really well. I'll call it 'Insanity Light'. Still big ABV but a great beer for those who crave that Whiskey taste in the beer. I wish I woulda got more!

Weyerbacher - 17 (Saison) B-
Way too hot (10%) for a Saison, and way too much coriander and spice in this one. I think it may straighten itself out, but it's not very good at this rate. Sort of a messy blonde if you ask me.

Stegmaier Summer Pils - A-
Brewed up at Lion Brewery in Wilkes Barre PA, this is a nice cheap summer beer that came out super nice. 22 a case? Can't beat that price point at all. A little 'malty' for a pils (if that even makes sense) but still darn tasty. it's not Sunshine Pils, but it is half the cost...

I got most of the Weyerbacher Stuff last Friday, and with the odd weekend we did end up having quite a few BBQ's and beers. A few SUnshine pils mixed in there and some Mojito's too. Today was kinda low Key and just had that Saison Diego, and a ton of ice tea

Mississippi Mud is one of my favorites. I've actually got an unopened bottle of it to my right. If you guys get Canadian beers down there, I'd highly recommend okanagan springs summer weizen. Its a wheat beer (obviously) with a nice taste of apricot to it. Not my picture, but here's what the weizen looks like

Also look into Granville Island winter ale come winter time, if any stores in the states happen to carry it. Another one of my favorites.

Beers

There are people with good taste on here. I haven't had a chance to post in here lately. I've been busy parting out my car. At least I get a chance to open a good beer every time I'm in the garage.

Two brothers brewery 10 minutes away from my house. They're doing 15 beers for their 15th anniversary. They just released the 5th beer last week. I'm buying two of each, so I can do a vertical tasting when they're done with their 15th beer.

Dogfish 120 is a must try beer.

Grew up drinking sours. They're my favorite style of beer. I have to have them. I always make sure I buy a new one before I drink what I have.

I'll post more beers later.

Got my growler filled with Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. 10% ABV and you can tell. Still a very good brew.

recently had some (I do mean some because I dumped most of it out) of the dogfish head ta henket

this was the first and only dogfish beer that I have found to be repulsive and undrinkable. I tastes like beans, and not in a good way. Its pretty gross, I dumped it with about 3/4 of it left.

Anyone ever done the 110 beer challenge at Old Chicago?

I just went there for the first time and was delighted by all the different brews they carry. Although some of them sounded gross(Berry-putting-some-nasty-shit-name).
