Nope! Just saw the review on runblogger. Pretty cool shoe! I'd be interested in trying them on since they're so wide! No clue where to find them though!

Otherwise i would like to try on a pair of those Saucony's. They look crazy.

Last weeks mileage:
1.) 15 miles 2.) Minimus Trails 3.) Road 4.) No issues 5.) 7:30 pace 6.) 9 rating for the week. Wish I had more miles. Anyone else? I finally found a buyer for my Merrell Trail Gloves. I'm about to buy another pair of VFF, I just don't know which one to get. I was leaning more towards the Komodosports, what do you all think?

Running is for Predators chasing their prey.
I'm really digging my Minimus Trails. Hopefully when you get them they work out for you.

Best advice I can give is to get yourself out there and run, if it starts to hurt slow down or stop, start off with low mileage unless you are aware of your limits.

I've got a weak left knee, but with stretches before and after as well as drinking water it helps a lot. I can never stop having as part of my workouts. Running in the rain is an awesome feeling. I always wear Underarmor ColdGear pullover 1/4 zip with my rash guards underneath to keep the sweat off.
I've used Ascis for pavement and I recently got a pair of Adidas light trail running shoes for off-road. I don't carry water with me just my ipod and my house key. Also, a polarized pair of sunglassed help as your face reflects the sun from your sweaty face.

So I've been seeing alot of improvement from how I used to run to now. My pace has been faster and I have been going further than I ever did. I'm guessing its the form and how much you pay attention to it.

How did I miss this thread LOL!
http://zilvia.net/f/premium-members/...ead-lol-2.html http://zilvia.net/f/premium-members/...-5-3-09-a.html http://zilvia.net/f/premium-members/...orce-pics.html I've run 2 full,3 half ,and 3 MINI Marathon's, a few 5&10k's. I'm having to sit this season out due to some medical reasons. I've NOT YET achieved my under 4 hour full, but my best Half time was a 1:42, and when I stopped running I was holding a solid 7:58 pace. My Wife has run 8 full, 1 half, and 4 Mini Marathon's and she's registered for the up coming Marine Crops Full Marathon in DC. She's also talking about running an ULTRA Marathon, I think I'm going to pass on that.

I've been getting into the groove of things, and today, on a stupid hot day in Texas, I decided to run sans shoes. My pacing is decent, and my strides are shorter, but I don't feel as strained or fatigued during and after the runs. The shitty part was the stickers in the grass. My feet are still sensitive like a baby, so that shit was getting annoying.

Wow, 6:30-7 minute pace that's great. I can do 9 minute pace. Would interval training increase one's pace? I've been doing mostly my current pace which is more of a jog than a run. I've done alternating 1/4 sprints and walks around a track at the local community college before.

Alright I need to join this thread.
Shorty story: I've been welding for 7-8 years. It's made me pretty lazy and unfit. The industry blows donkey spunk and I'm purely sick of it. I've been accepted back into school for policing. I start June 6. And I need to start running (well I started on the weekend). And I know at the end of it I have be able to run 5km or so... Can anyone help me out with some stretches and/or warm ups? What kinda shut should I eat/drink... Because I haven't the slightest clue what I'm doing.. I need to greatly improve my cardio. As I can barely run 500ft. I'm 6' 1" 185lbs.. I have a small little keg growin on me.. And I e never smoked a day in my life. But I've been around lots of smokers.. ![]() Thanks ladies! |

All you gotta do is take it slow. One step at a time. As for eating and drinking, I don't know. My best advice is get away from them smokers.
